Aloha Friday #25

If you’ve never seen Aloha Friday then here is the run down from Island Life….

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought on Fridays I would take it easy on posting too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you would like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave the link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participates! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Now on to my question of the week:

What toy did you enjoy playing with when you were young?

I remember I used to (and still do) love playing with the Fisher Price Barn, House, Hospital… etc.

Thankfully my paents kept them so whenever my kids go over to her house, my kids get to play with them. Since they actually enjoy playing with them so much there, I’ve lucked out and have found some at garage sales (and Craigslist) so they can play with them here too! We have the House, barn, Fire station, City, Car Ferry, School,  Western Town and airport!

  • Ohhh, my kids LOVED that same Fisher Price barn! Since we live on a farm, it was like a miniature replica of where we live. They also LOVED Legos, any kind of blocks, and Barbies!!! As for me, I’d have to say the ORIGINAL Barbie was my favorite toy. I’m sure I drove my mother nuts because she actually made clothes for my Barbie doll that my friend and I designed. She then did the same for my own daughter and she always said it was more work to make tiny dresses than clothes for us!

  • WOW I had that when I was a kid I love it lol..But my favorite was barbie! I had everything Barbie the house, the cars, clothes, shoes, but the funny thing is my oldest never got in to barbie even after me getting her ALL this stuff luckily my baby girl is getting into it

  • I loved the Rubix cube and my Lite Brite! Yep, I’m a child of the 80′s alright! LOL

  • I used to LOVE playing with my Care Bears and My Little Ponies. Wish I still had them!

  • Tara:

Oh my I had the same barn lol What memories! I loved my Barbies..which thankfully I still have! My little ponies.. I loved.. not sure what happened to those. :(

  • Don’t remember playing with toys. I had Barbies I did play with them, then I gave them way to a Girl who had no Toys.

  • I really enjoyed Strawberry Shortcake and Barbie. :-)

  • I love my Cabbage Patch, My Pound Puppy, and My Cricket Doll!!! Come over and link up! Enter a few giveaways while your there :)

  • I loved barbies. And cabbagepatch kids!

  • I loved that set also! My friend’s grandpa had made a huge layout on a board that included houses & stores. That was great.

My favorite though was my Chrissy doll. I have her on display in my house!

  • We had a lot of the Fisher Price Little people when I was little. Loved playing with those. Of course I still remember when my father got our cockatiel stuck in one of them and had to call Fisher Price for help to get Pretty Boy out.

  • I was a tom boy and I didn’t like toys. I used to make tire swings and play softball.

  • I loved everything weeble wabbles!

    Thanks for the fun!
Swing by the IE Mommy & check out my question

  • I loved My Little Ponies, Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake. It is so fun to watch my daughter play with them now.

  • Toni:

I had the whole collection of Rainbow Brite dolls and loved them as well as my cabbage patch and barbies

  • I really liked Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys. The Rubics Cube was fun, too. And — being a girly girl…well, the Barbies were fun, too. :)
