Tis the season for visiting friends and family!  I love having people stop by, maybe it’s because then I get some adult conversation, but nothing is worse than having someone stop by unexpectantly and there is nothing in the house to offer besides fruit snacks or graham crackers.  ~wink~

In case you’re like me and you don’t have anything you could snap together quickly, what you could do is buy some Nancy’s Appetizer’s and keep them in your freezer until your guests arrive and then pop them in the oven and voila, it would look as if you slaved all day!

Nancy’s has all different kinds of appetizer’s…  3 cheese spinach stars, Black tie beef Wellington, Black Tie Thai Peanut Satay, Black Tie Trumpets, Champagne Collection, Cheese Souffles, Deli Spirals, Mushroom Turnovers, Petite Quiche and Seafood Crab Cakes. 

I do have to admit, some of those I had never heard of before, but after reading the description, they all do sound quite tasty.  For us I could see us enjoying the Mushroom Turnovers, of course maybe that’s because Paul and I both like mushrooms and onions.

What was and is exciting for me is that Mom Central along with Nancy’s gave me 2 coupons, one for me and one for one of my readers, so we could get a FREE 12 ct Nancy’s Frozen Appetizer!  Unfortunately for me I was unable to locate any at our local super wal-mart so I didn’t get the chance to try any.   BUT.. my loss can be your gain!  So instead of giving only one coupon.. I get to give away TWO!

If you read my post below, you maybe have notice that Paul and I are considering doing things (eating) more all natural.  While I am excited to try these new avenues I am also worried about how much more it will end up costing us.

Well today while I was checking out facebook I came across another girl I graduated with.  While checking out her page I noticed that she now blogs too, but about health issues!  While reading her new blog Green Organic Diet I found out about another blog called dk mommy spot.   While I found both blogs to be quite interesting there was one post on dk Mommy spot that really caught my attention (and it wasn’t because it was just a give away) as it was about a very interesting sounding product called Wonder Ball.

According to dk mommy spot they have been using the last couple months and loves it!  Supposedly when you use this ball you have no need to use laundry detergent so no more chemicals in your clothes that then touch your body!  They explain how it works, but honestly it all went over my head.  I guess there is a mineral blend that is inside the ball and when it you put the ball in your laundry, the mineral blend ”penetrates through the housing of the ball and takes away the surface tension of each water molecule, making the water very thin or fine.”  At this point, the water is able to get through the very fibers of the fabric and will wash the dirt away so there is no use of laundry detergent or at least very little.

These are some of the positive things about using this wonder ball!

Since I’ve gotten older, I’ve been having many issues with my skin and am now allergic to quite a few weird things, but thing that are in detergents, shampoo’s.. etc.  That’s one reason why I would really like to win this product to see how it would work for us before buying one.   So wish me luck!  If you would like to read more or to enter the contest for it, just visit dk Mommy spot!

First let me introduce myself to those that don’t know me. My name is Jen and I’m a wife of 7 years to Paul, a Stay at home mom to 4 yr old Kevin and 2 yr old Katie and we live in West Michigan.

This is a picture of us in Davenport, FL last month!!

Some of the girls on Michigan Mom’s Club kept talking about how they love blogging so after talking with Jodi & Kellie I thought I would give it a try!   That was in October of last year and I’m so glad they talked me into it.  I’m having so much fun doing this and have aleady “met” some new friends and I’m looking forward to meeting some more!!  My blog as of right now is just a little bit of everything… just whatever comes to my head at that moment in time.  I hope you enjoy it and if you have any advice on anything I could do to improve it, please let me know!!
